Here are a series of posts on some concepts phones lets start with Retroxis By Dark Label
If most phones presented here will never be sold in store for sure, the Retroxis concept phone from Dark Label looks kinda human, and makes us hope we’ll be able to get one of these one day. Designed by Lim Sze Tat the phone is encased in high polished polycarbonate renowned for its lightweight and toughness and has an invisible OLED display that silently hides away when inactive.

When I was in kindergarten I had a beach blanket, a cot and a devil named Rose that would circle around us slapping a meter stick in her hand. Where was my NapTV chair with a built-in television? Perhaps my experience wouldn’t have been nearly as scarring had I been able to watch TV while lying on my back instead of listening to the Sound of Music album on a continuous loop. I blame that class for everything that is wrong with me today. Too bad the NapTV is only a concept.

Measuring 81 centimeters, this Twist Torch from Brando can be bent into any shape you wish. The more brutal amongst you may even use it to perform home endoscopies, and the more fashion-conscious may wish to wear it as a necktie at your club so that the steward doesn’t throw you out for being incorrectly dressed. The pervy may want to stick it where the sun don’t shine and make Innerspace-esque videos, the DIY geek may want to light up murky little crannies with it, and the plain loco may want to sit it in a basket, play namby-pamby music on a recorder, and wait for it to sit up and start swaying. All this craziness in a tube will cost you $11.

Sometimes the “Keep It Simple Stupid” principle and product mashups really do work: like this multipurpose cellphone charm from Brando. Unclasp it and there’s a USB-to-phone cable for data and charging, customizable with plugs that suit your cellphone or mini-USB device. Flick a switch, slot in a MicroSD card and it’s a card-reader/USB memory stick. Couldn’t be neater. Available in five colors for a ridiculous $14.

For those who are always looking for the most technologically advanced ways to make others fawn over their children, this mini projector may be just small enough to fit in a large pocket or small purse. Running on AA batteries and displaying all of your SD card-based media (unfortunately there’s no codec list), we wouldn’t recommend it for a home cinema projector, but it looks like a pretty fun novelty for $200
